2019 Top 25 Emerging Leaders Jennifer Dunphy

In just five years, Dunphy was promoted from senior project manager to the first chief of population health at California-based Heritage and its subsidiary Regal Medical Group. She’s the youngest executive in the organization. Dunphy led efforts to integrate population health across virtually all aspects of the network. Her efforts resulted in $10 million in savings between July 2017 and June 2019. She also created a program where community health workers visit members post discharge, which has resulted in a 69% drop in readmissions compared to a control group. And her efforts helped Heritage take on nearly 250,000 Medicaid lives over five years.
