As a founding leader of health platforms at Verily, an Alphabet company, Lee has chaired the boards of a virtual care digital health platform and a stop-loss insurance company. She has described her role in healthcare technology as being at the intersection of engineering, medicine and business, with the goals of solving systemic industry problems and advancing population health. Before joining Verily, in 2018, Lee was CEO of University of Utah Health and dean of its medical school, overseeing an integrated health system with $3.6 billion budget, a 1,400-member physician group and health insurance plan.
