Allen has spent her professional life working to meet the needs of vulnerable patients. As CMO of the nation’s largest municipal health system, she created an Office of Women’s Health Services, which facilitated the launch of the Maternal Medical Home program for pregnant patients in 2021. She also spun up an Office of Clinical Operations, whose initiatives include surveilling the health system’s wastewater to detect emerging infections. Allen plays a key role in New York’s public health efforts, joining Mayor Eric Adams in January as he shared strategies to address disparities in women’s health outcomes.
